New variant
Each roll uses an explicit seed. The first view uses seed 1 so the server HTML and the browser match. Clicking New variant increases the seed and draws a different legal stack for the same intensity and directions. Reload the page and you are back at seed 1. That is how this glitch text generator avoids hydration mismatch and “I copied a different glitch than I saw.”
Counts
The line under the controls reports input and output code-point counts for the current custom preview, including the sample when the box is empty. Destination apps may count differently. The number here is a warning, not their counter. If output is many times the input, drop intensity before you paste into a username.

A hard ceiling

Unicode allows a huge number of combining marks on one letter. That does not mean a webpage should emit them.
Extreme Zalgo can make a layout jump, freeze a weak chat view, or overflow a clipboard. Conversion stays in this browser; input is neither posted to a PasteFonts API nor saved in localStorage. Copying Custom Glitch or a quick style copies only its visible text. It does not add a catalog style ID to Recent, unlike copying a homepage card.
This glitch text generator does not animate RGB splits, export a GIF, or decode Zalgo back to plain text. It does not claim Discord, Instagram, or TikTok will keep every mark. Compatibility is a paste test, not a badge.
