Three steps
How this mirror text generator works
Use this mirror text generator when you need a lookalike mirrored string or the same letters mirrored without changing their order. Backwards and upside-down results stay nearby. Word and line reverses remain available under Related reverse tools. The page does not upload the draft.
- 01
Type or load a sample
The field starts empty. Type a short phrase, paste two lines, or tap a sample. The counter shows graphemes and code points so you can see when an emoji cluster is one unit even if it uses several code points.
- 02
Choose the mirror result first
Mirror approximation replaces supported letters and reverses their order. Mirror letters only changes supported shapes while preserving order. Backwards and upside down sit in a secondary group, while specialized word and line reverses stay collapsed.
- 03
Copy one row, then invert or paste-test
Click the row or the copy icon. If the clipboard is blocked, this mirror text generator shows a fallback box. Paste the output back into the input to see which transforms invert cleanly, then paste into the real field and reopen it.
Different axes
What this mirror text generator changes
People search for mirror, reverse, backwards, and upside down as if they were one trick. This mirror text generator gives mirrored text the first group: one result changes shapes and order, while Mirror letters only changes shapes and preserves order. Backwards and upside down remain visible as close alternatives. Word and line reverses stay under Related reverse tools.
Mirror approximation tries a horizontal lookalike, then reverses order. Upside down tries a 180° lookalike, then reverses order so a flipped phone can read the line. Both maps are Unicode approximations. This mirror text generator does not produce a geometric reflection, a PNG, or a font file.
Example input `Hello world` is enough to see the split. Mirror approximation reverses the order after swapping supported shapes. Mirror letters only preserves the order. Backwards yields `dlrow olleH`. Reverse word order yields `world Hello`, and Reverse each word yields `olleH dlrow`. This mirror text generator labels every axis before you copy.
Clusters, not code units
Graphemes and emoji in this mirror text generator
A reverse that splits a family emoji into parts is a bug. This mirror text generator reverses grapheme clusters first.
Where `Intl.Segmenter` exists, this mirror text generator asks for grapheme granularity. A ZWJ family such as 👨👩👧👦 stays one cluster. Skin tones and variation selectors stay attached. Reverse characters then moves that whole cluster.
If Segmenter is missing, this mirror text generator falls back to a code-point scan. Combining marks, ZWJ, ZWNJ, variation selectors, and skin tones attach to the previous cluster. Regional indicator pairs stay together when they arrive as two code points. The fallback is reliable for common emoji; it is not a full Unicode implementation.
Lookalike maps only replace a cluster that is a single mapped code point. An emoji cluster is left as-is and still participates in reverse. This mirror text generator will not invent a flipped 👨. Unmapped Latin letters also stay, then move with the reverse.
Lines are data
Newlines in this mirror text generator
Reverse line order splits on a newline character and reverses the array of lines. Text inside a line does not change. A trailing newline becomes a leading empty line after the reverse. This mirror text generator does not try to guess whether you meant that empty line; it follows the split.
Reverse characters treats the newline as one grapheme and moves it with the rest of the string. Two lines become a reversed stream, so the break lands in a new place. Reverse word order and reverse each word still run per line, so a poem keeps its stanza count.
Load the Two lines sample if you need to see that difference quickly. Copy the line-order row when you wanted stanzas flipped. Copy the character-reverse row when you wanted a single backwards stream.
Keep the original letter
Unmapped characters in this mirror text generator
Unicode has no complete mirrored Latin alphabet. Letters such as O, X, and V already look similar after a flip, so this mirror text generator maps many of them to themselves. Other letters have no widely supported partner. Those letters stay as typed and still move when the row reverses order.
Digits, punctuation, and non-Latin scripts follow the same rule. A mapped parenthesis swaps with its partner. An unmapped kanji stays. This mirror text generator will not drop a character to force a prettier line. If a letter looks unchanged, read the dimension label before you assume the row is broken.
Device fonts differ. IPA and Latin Extended lookalikes can show as boxes on older phones. A box is a missing glyph, not a deleted letter. Copy from this mirror text generator still succeeded if the toast said so. Retry reverse characters, which keeps ASCII shapes, when the destination cannot draw the lookalikes.
Prove the axis
Inverse transforms and paste tests for this mirror text generator
Reverse characters, reverse word order, reverse each word, and reverse line order invert when you paste the output back into this mirror text generator and run the same row again. Extra spaces may collapse in reverse word order because that row rejoins on a single space.
Mirror approximation and upside down invert only where the lookalike map is a two-way pair. `b` and `d` swap. A letter that mapped to a unique IPA shape maps back if that shape is in the table. An unmapped letter never inverted because it never changed. This mirror text generator does not promise a perfect undo for mixed scripts.
- Copy one row from the list.
- Paste it back into the input and run the same transform.
- Compare with your original, including newlines and emoji.
- Paste the chosen row into the real bio, caption, or message.
- Save if asked, leave, and reopen. If boxes or speech fail, use reverse characters or ASCII.
Approximation only
What this mirror text generator will not claim
This mirror text generator does not flip pixels. It does not export SVG, PNG, or a font file. It does not kern letters for vinyl, ambulance lettering, or a tattoo stencil. Those jobs need a design tool and a real mirrored drawing.
It also does not set CSS `scaleX(-1)` on a webpage. A CSS flip disappears when you copy. The rows here survive copy because they are characters. That is the whole point of a mirror text generator, and it is also why the shapes are only as good as Unicode.

Speech and search
Speech, search, and this mirror text generator
Screen readers may announce “latin small letter turned e” instead of “e.” Reverse characters can still be spelled letter by letter, but the order is wrong for meaning. Do not put a warning, a price, or a legal name solely through this mirror text generator.
Search and mentions often expect ordinary letters. A mirrored bio line will not match a query for the original spelling. Keep a plain-text copy next to the decorative line if people must find the words.
Use this mirror text generator for a puzzle, a novelty caption, or a QA string. Keep headings, buttons, and alt text in ordinary language. Compatibility is a paste test, not a claim that every app will speak the row.
Honest limits
Limits of this mirror text generator
This mirror text generator is a local transformer. It is not a print shop, not a photo editor, and not a promise that every device will draw every glyph.
There is no login and no upload. The draft is not written to localStorage. Analytics scripts on this site are not fed the input. Clearing the box only clears this session.
This mirror text generator puts two mirror modes first. Homepage Fun cards named Mirrored, Reversed, and Upside Down use separate, shorter maps.
If you still needed the full fonts copy and paste catalog after you picked a reverse, browse all fonts copy and paste styles. Do not expect this mirror text generator to style a display name the way a platform page does.
Same sentence, distinct jobs
Worked examples you can paste-test
Try `Hello world`: Reverse characters gives `dlrow olleH`, Reverse word order gives `world Hello`, and Reverse each word gives `olleH dlrow`. For reflected letter shapes, choose Mirror approximation.
Next load Two lines. Reverse line order swaps the stanzas and leaves each sentence readable. Reverse characters drags the newline into the middle of the stream. If you are writing a puzzle with two clues, line order is the row that keeps each clue intact. If you are testing an input box, character reverse is the row that stresses caret movement.
Finish with `Hello 👨👩👧👦`. Reverse characters should keep the family cluster together while A-B order flips. If a destination splits the family into people and joiners, that field is normalizing emoji, not proving a mapping bug. Keep a plain-text original next to the flipped line whenever the cluster matters.

FAQ
Questions about this mirror text generator
Does this mirror text generator create a true geometric mirror?
No. The rows copy Unicode approximations and reorder graphemes. They do not flip pixels, export an image, or produce a font file for print.
Why do results from this mirror text generator look different?
Each row changes a defined axis: lookalike shape, grapheme order, word order, per-word order, line order, or a 180° lookalike. Mirror results come first; specialized reverses stay under Related reverse tools.
Will emoji stay intact in this mirror text generator?
Common ZWJ sequences stay one cluster when Segmenter is available, and the fallback attaches joiners and marks to the previous cluster. An emoji still has no flipped partner, so its shape does not change.
How do I undo a row from this mirror text generator?
Keep the original input for a reliable reset. Character, per-word, and line reversal can be reversed again, but Reverse word order replaces the original spacing between words with single spaces. Lookalike rows recover characters only where the mapping is two-way.
What happens if copy fails in this mirror text generator?
A toast explains the failure and a fallback box appears. Select that text and copy it from the keyboard. The draft is not uploaded and is not stored.
Does this mirror text generator store my input?
No. Input stays in this tab. Clearing the box only clears this session. Favorites on the homepage still store style IDs only.
Why did a letter look unchanged in this mirror text generator?
That letter has no mapped partner, or it is already symmetric. The character is kept on purpose. Reverse rows will still move it.
Can I paste output from this mirror text generator into Instagram or Discord?
You can paste the characters. Whether they draw, count, or speak depends on the destination font and field. Save, reopen, and keep an ASCII backup.
